NYCU Tainan Dormitory Application Process
The dormitory application is open from 10:00 a.m. on May 4, 2026 (Monday) until all available rooms have been assigned.
Please note that submitting the application form only registers your need for accommodation. It does not guarantee that a room will be assigned. Room assignments will be made based on room availability.

Application Information
- Eligible applicants: New students admitted to the Tainan Campus for the 2026–2027 academic year and currently enrolled NYCU students. *Current dormitory residents should NOT submit this application form.
- Applicants must provide proof of student status:
- New students: Upload a screenshot of your admission letter.
- Current students: Upload a copy of your student ID.

- Accommodation period:
- August 1, 2026–July 31, 2027.
- If you need to move in before August 1, please enter your expected move-in date in the application form and contact the dormitory staff.
- One-semester application:
- If you only need accommodation for the first semester (August 1, 2026–January 31, 2027), please submit the same application form and indicate in the Remarks section that you only need accommodation for one semester.
- Room assignment results:
- The room assignment results are expected to be announced on the official website in early June 2026. Students who are assigned a room will also receive an email with move-in instructions.
- Accommodation fees:
- The accommodation fee is calculated by month, from the 1st day to the last day of each month, rather than by the number of days stayed. Electricity is not included in the accommodation fee and is charged separately at NT$4.4 per kWh.
- Room type:
- The available room type is a single suite in the Graduate Student Dormitory. Each room is an independent suite. The dormitory is gender-inclusive, and residential areas are not separated by gender.
- Shared facilities:
- Elevators, shared kitchens, shared refrigerators, water dispensers, washing machines, and dryers.
- If you would like to have a small personal refrigerator in your room, please register with the dormitory staff in advance.
- Parking:
- A parking permit must be applied for separately and is not included in the accommodation fee.
Payment Information
- Student accommodation fees:
- Accommodation fees are normally included in the tuition and miscellaneous fee payment bill. If you would like to change your payment method, please contact the dormitory staff.
- The accommodation fee periods are:
- First semester: August 1–January 31
- Second semester: February 1–July 31
- Other payment methods:
- Accommodation and electricity fees can be paid by bank transfer. The dormitory front desk does not accept cash.
- If you need to pay in cash, please visit the Tainan Campus General Management Center on the 3rd floor of Chimei Building during office hours or on working days according to the university calendar, and contact the dormitory staff.
Room Assignment
- Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the rooms available at the time of assignment. Students cannot choose their own rooms. If you have any special accommodation needs, please indicate them in the Remarks section. We will do our best to accommodate your needs when possible.
- If you do not check in within 7 days after your scheduled move-in date and we are unable to contact you, your room assignment will be considered forfeited. The room will then be offered to students on the waiting list. If you still need accommodation later, you will need to submit a new application to join the waiting list.
- The academic department and the dormitory do not share the same system or information. Therefore, if you decide not to enroll at NYCU after receiving a dormitory room assignment, you must contact the dormitory staff and inform us of your decision.
Moving Out
- If you need to move out early due to graduation, leave of absence, withdrawal from the university, or personal reasons, please submit your request to the dormitory staff at least 3 working days before your move-out date.
- Move-out procedure:
- Inform the dormitory staff that you wish to move out. You will receive a move-out confirmation email from the dormitory staff before you can complete the move-out procedure at the dormitory front desk.
- Clean your room and complete the room and equipment inspection. The move-out process will be completed after the room passes inspection.
- If you do not move out by the required deadline, an additional daily accommodation fee will be charged for the extended stay.
